Hello and welcome to my site! i’m Love Martin.

I’m an author, artist, and dog mom based in Colorado.

I've been writing since I was 11 years old. Writing has been my outlet for years, a way for me to express my emotions and the things happening in my life. I’m excited to announce that I’m in the process of finishing my first published novel in a series I'm extremely passionate about. I am also a traditional oil painter and digital artist, where I love to experiment with realism and impressionism. As a queer and disabled woman, everything I create is tied to my life experiences. When I was a kid, I often felt very lonely and like I needed answers I never had. That is why I've dedicated myself to creating stories and art that explore difficult themes and subjects. My past experiences are what keep me coming back to my craft, as well as the belief that creation is the core of humanity and can significantly change lives.

You will frequently find me with my dogs, my forever companions and my best friends. I have to give credit to these amazing little creatures for being my safe space and my reason to persist. Learn more about Calypso and Snickers below!

Meet the dogs

These two special pups are the most treasured things in Love Martin’s life. They’ve been there through the thick and thin with plenty of love and kisses to give!

These two pups have just recently lost their oldest sister, Sprite, to kidney disease. After losing her, they have started to bond with each other. This is especially important to Snickers, who was Sprite’s best friend and who knew her for 12 years! She’s finally opened up to her adopted sister Calypso and the two can frequently be found cuddling up next to each other.

Registered Service Dog Under the ADA

Whether it’s running laps in the backyard, sprawling out for a nap, or helping her mama with medical needs, Calypso is there. This pup is a 3 year old Bernese Mountain Dog mix, and has a sweet soul and the longest eyelashes you’ll ever see! She will never refuse cuddles and has an affinity for stealing sticks of butter off of the counter.

Snickers the Shih-poo

This sweet little lady has lived a long, fulfilling life of giving her family lots of giggles and joy. At 13 years old, she is still healthy and pushing through! She’s the perfect cuddle buddy, but has very specific preferences. She often steals blankets and stuffed animals so her naps can be a little cozier, and don’t even think of trying to feed her something she doesn’t have a strong liking toward!
